Inspired by the drastic altitude changes during my trip to Lhasa, I have compiled my list of high/lows.
LOWS ::
– Ubiquitous fast food chains
– Failed attempt at rallying young people during nama for the electric slide (video to come)
– High altitude headaches
– “Outside influences”
– Sunburn
– 48 hours with no fresh air
– Bitchy dining car attendees
HIGHS ::
– Tibetan hair
– Barley wine with local contemporary artists
– Getting cheered on during solo electric slide performance
– Yak meat, yak butter, and soon to be yak frosting cupcakes
– Golden autumn leaves
– Curatorial and artistic cultural exchange opportunities
– Short sleeves
– Sigur Ros through snow capped mountain passes
– New Mongolian friends inviting me for 2 weeks of fishing and wolf hunting in the grasslands
